Meet Ian — our newest staff member (though he’s been part of the team for nearly a year now).
Ian is a wizard when it comes to all things Meta and is the ultimate "yes" man. Whether it’s sacrificing himself as the LAB rep at the 7th Day Brewery Beer Mile Race, jumping on any task that needs doing ASAP, or being convinced by Lana to take on his first-ever triathlon at the Husky Triathlon Festival — he’s always up for the challenge.
We asked Ian a few questions before his first triathlon to:
Favourite Value:No Dick Heads |
Goal for 2026:To continue waking up early for activities even when it cools down in the winter and it becomes extremely temping to stay in bed |
What made you sign up for this triathlon?I got tired of working at a brand that sells tri suits without having done one myself |
One thing you didn’t realise about triathlons before signing up?How much stuff you need to prepare ahead of time. I still don’t have a fitness watch so I think I’ll be going on vibes |
How much do you think the beer mile you did last weekend will help your mindset going into this race?It took me nearly 15 minutes and I wasn’t able to keep the contents of my stomach in place. I’m eager to redeem myself and am now considering this a revenge tour |
What are you wearing?I’ll be rocking the Lellow Foundations Tri suit. It’s a great suit for ones first tri, and I’d feel a bit silly wearing the aero hex fabric of the Velocity Aero while donning a skateboard helmet for the bike leg |
What leg are you most worried about? The bike. My bike is an old girl and while I think she’ll handle it, I don’t have the skill to fix any issues beyond the chain coming off. |
Any personal bet you want to make with the team?I’m betting that I’ll have a better time than anyone else. (Not timing wise... but that I’ll enjoy it the most.) |
