Our Extraordinary Challenge is all about getting out of our funk and starting to live the way we want. Everyone in the office has committed to doing something for 10 days! We are currently 4 days in and this is how we are going:
Lana committed to 10 km a day for 10 days. After running her 50km ultra mid October, she thought lets keep the momentum going! She has currently run 41km in 4 days and she is feeling gooood! Mixing up the run route and running with friends is helping her get it done!
Pascalle committed to doing 2 hours of exercise per day and journalling morning and night. Embarking on her new chapter of her life, 2 hours a day used to be an easy day, but now juggling work and life, 2 hours per day can be tricky. It is day 4 and she has done 7 hours and 34 mins of exercise so far. A cycle home, a recovery run and yoga will get her past the 2 hour mark for today and well over the 2 hours a day per day average! She has set aside time every morning with her breakfast and after her evening meal to make sure she journals as it is definitely easy to forget about.
Andy committed to doing 'something' everyday. The daily grind can really get you into a funk and Andy wants to do something for himself for these next 10 days. It is day 4 and he has gone for a ride every day - 1 MTB, 1 trainer set and a surf, with a MTB this afternoon will get him smashing his goal. He is hoping for some better waves so he can surf more!
Shona committed to going for a walk everyday. Her new little companion Nala, a 10 week old puppy, is helping her to get moving everyday. Nala is a little too young to walk the distances Shona wants to, so not only is she walking, she is also carrying her little puppy for most of the walk!
Our resident Canadian Bella committed to getting in the ocean every day and 1 hour of exercise per day. She is doing a mix of swimming in ocean pools and running each day, which always finishes with a dip in the ocean. The long sunny days are making it easy to spend more than enough time exercising and in the ocean.
We have loved our Extraordinary Challenge so far and plan on doing more in the new year. Want to join us for one?
